Gîtes
in the Tarn
|

Two top quality gîtes
on their own estate with a 12-metre pool in deepest
Tarn
countryside near Lavaur
5 minutes from twin-Cathedral town Lavaur
in the Tarn department, 40 minutes from Toulouse, Albi
and Castres, these beautiful gîtes have everything
to satisfy guests looking for the 'real France' while
enjoying the comfort and quiet associated with top
quality accommodation.
The cathedral town of Albi is a must
for anyone who loves history and art: not only is the
Cathedral of Ste Cécile one of the few remaining 'painted
cathedrals in Europe' but it is steeped in the bloody
history of the Church in France and its 13th century
fight againt the heretic Cathars. Next door is the
Bishop's Palace which now houses the largest permanent
Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition in the world, honouring
this local lad who went 'up' to Paris to seek his fortune
at the end of the 19th century.
In an estate stretching over 80 hectares
- with private access road - there is a small lake
beside which lies an old farmhouse which houses two
4/5-bedroomed gîtes.
The gites have their own 12-metre pool.
