Only ten minutes from Carcassonne airport (Ryanair flights from Dublin, Shannon, Stansted, Liverpool, Portsmouth and Edinburgh) the gîtes are especially convenient for those travelling by plane and who want to avoid the long drive down from the channel ports. (Jean-Claude can pick you up from the airport if you don't want to hire a car).

In the vicinity you have a wealth of attractions: the citadel of Carcassonne, the Canal du Midi (both now UNESCO Heritage Sites) as well as five AOC wine regions. Just 60 minutes away is the Med coast with extensive sandy beaches at Gruissan and La Franqui.
